Autotrader Australia launched in October 2018 and lists dealer stock from every state. The name is the one most people recognise from Britain; the Australian site is a separate business, owned since 2022 by the group that also owns CarsGuide.
That common ownership is worth knowing before you search. A car listed here is often listed on CarsGuide too, so the two are best treated as one pool with two front doors rather than as two markets to check separately.

Browse Autotrader at your own pace, in English. Searching CarsGuide as well adds little, because the two draw on substantially the same dealer stock.

We publish this so you can plan the cash flow. Payments go to Direct Car Import Sdn Bhd only, and your advisor confirms the account with you directly. We never post bank details on this website.

It is the Australian edition of the Autotrader name, launched in October 2018 and listing dealer stock from every state. It is a separate business from the British site of the same name. The marketplace is not ours; we buy from it on your behalf.
Less than the two brands suggest. They have had the same owner since 2022 and draw on substantially the same pool of dealer stock, so a car on one is often on the other. If you have searched one thoroughly, you have largely searched both.
No. Same name, different company, different stock. If you are comparing a British car with an Australian one, compare the landed costs rather than the listings, because the shipping, the duty basis and the exchange rate all differ.
No, and no importer's is. You pay the landed cost, which adds shipping, clearance, duty and our service fee to the listing. Australian listings usually quote a price excluding government charges, and that is the figure to put in the calculator. Your advisor confirms the total in writing before you commit.
A PPSR check shows outstanding finance, theft and write-off history, and the state register adds the odometer trail. Then one of ours inspects the car in person at the seller's premises before any money moves.
Yes. The import calculator is public, and an Autotrader listing gives you everything it asks for. Take the Australia tab first, because the fees and the exchange rate switch with it. Seeing the itemised breakdown needs a phone number and a verification code, which takes a minute and does not involve an advisor.
